Child & Adolescent Therapist (Individual & Group)
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Fee-for-Service
Locations: Belmont (highest need), Needham, Sudbury

Child Therapy Boston is a warm, creative, and collaborative child therapy practice helping children, teens, and families thrive. We believe therapy should be active, engaging, and creative, and we provide freedom, support, and resources to make that happen.

Our Belmont office currently has more demand than we can accommodate, allowing new clinicians to build a caseload quickly if they want one.

We welcome applications from social workers, mental health counselors, psychologists, family therapists, expressive arts therapists, art therapists, music therapists, and other licensed mental health professionals.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking licensed or license-eligible therapists who enjoy creative, play-based, dynamic work with kids and teens.

Ideal Candidates Are

– Creative thinkers who enjoy play, art, movement, or experiential therapy
– Comfortable with kids of all ages
– Passionate about inclusive, affirming care, including LGBTQIA+ youth
– Collaborative team members who communicate well and seek consultation

– Warm, engaging, and playful with children

What You’ll Do
– Parent support as clinically appropriate
– Optional group therapy leadership (social skills, anxiety management, art therapy, movement, mindfulness/yoga, etc.)
Schedule & Flexibility
– Must be available at least 2 afternoons/evenings or one weekend day
– Minimum of 8 clients
Compensation
– Typical session earnings: $75-$120 per individual session (depending on licensure); $85-$225 per group therapy session (depending on licensure and number of group members)
– Ability to build as large a caseload as you’d like

Licensure & Education
– Master’s degree required
– 3+ years of experience working with children preferred
– Individual therapy for children and teens
– Flexible, choose-your-own hours
Flexible fee-for-service position with strong referral support
– Strong, steady referral stream
– LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, or LCSW/ Pre-LMHC
